Oilite® Cored Bar AC1640104
Oil impregnated sintered bronze, otherwise known as Oilite® is a porous bronze alloy impregnated with an oil lubricant and used as a bearing. Oilite® is formed using powder metallurgy so that tiny pores are present in the metal. The pores are then vacuum impregnated with an oil to improve the materials bearing ability. Oilite® cored bars allow the end user to machine bushes or profiles to suit their own needs whilst still offering the extended range of applications that the material is particularly suited to. Oilite® is widely used in the auto industry, chemical industry, mini electrical parts as well as in home appliances, textile machines, electrical tools and office equipment due to their self lubricating properties, long life span and low maintenance requirements.
