Meet the Team
Dean Ward - Marketing and Sales. Born in the year of the Rabbit, Dean is married to his wife. He has 4 children, all boys ranging from 22 to 4 years old, and an imaginary friend called Boris. He attended Poole Grammar School and was educated to O level standard and a bit. His working background is mainly in retail and stores, but he spent 4 years living and working in the flower bulb industry in the Netherlands.
Dean is a bit eccentric and a joker with a somewhat odd sense of humor. His pastimes include steam and classic car/bike rallies, reading, rock climbing (though since turning 40 this has somewhat decreased in frequency), and dressing up in women’s clothing (he says he only does it for charity and the Rocky Horror Show but we’re not so sure!).
Dean first joined Ashley Power in March 2003, working in Goods In / Despatch. A year later he was transferred to the sales department, getting more involved with our customers. At the ripe age of 45, he finally decided to learn to drive, and after passing his test he has been going out on the road as a rep for the company. His other duties include creating our newsletter and organizing company social events; so if you have anything going on within your company we may be interested in, give him a call.
